What is Orthomol mental?

Orthomol® mental is a food supplement with sugar and a sweetener. It contains nutrients essential for brain function, concentration and memory.

  • Pantothenic acid helps maintain mental performance.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids (DHA) help maintain normal brain function. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA.
  • Thiamine (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), vitamin B6, niacin, vitamin C and magnesium contribute to normal nervous system function.
  • Zinc contributes to normal cognitive function.
How long should Orthomol mental be taken?

The body needs nutrients every day. Regular and long-term use of this product is recommended.

What should be observed?
  • Orthomol® mental contains readily available carbohydrates (12 g per daily serving), therefore people with glucose metabolism disorders should monitor metabolic parameters during use.
  • Individual patient reports have shown that simultaneous use of Ginkgo biloba preparations and anticoagulants such as Marcumar (phenprocoumon) or low-dose acetylsalicylic acid may increase the risk of bleeding. Patients with an increased risk of bleeding or patients taking anticoagulants should use Orthomol® mental only after consulting a doctor. The doctor will decide whether Orthomol® mental should be discontinued before planned surgical procedures.
  • Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
  • Do not use a food supplement as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
Are there any other important notes?
  • Orthomol® mental is lactose-free and gluten-free.
  • In some cases, the fish oil (omega-3 fatty acids) in the capsule may cause mild belching. To avoid belching, the capsules can be taken before bedtime.
  • The riboflavin (vitamin B2) in Orthomol® mental may colour the urine yellow.
  • The product contains beta-carotene, which has colouring properties. Stains caused by the product on fabric may be difficult to wash out.
  • Orthomol® mental contains bovine gelatin and complies with Halal dietary requirements.
