Control bright light with the X5 ND64 filter
The Insta360 X5 ND64 filter reduces the amount of light reaching the sensors so you can keep a deliberately slower shutter speed in bright conditions. The result is smoother motion blur, reduced glare and a more cinematic sense of movement.
Why choose this product
ND64 light control
Suited to very bright daylight and scenes that need a strong reduction in incoming light.
Cinematic motion blur
Less light allows a slower shutter speed, creating more natural-looking motion in rides, sports and flowing camera moves.
Longer exposures
The filter enables light trails, dramatic movement effects and creative evening images when the camera is mounted securely.
Automatic X5 detection
The camera detects the ND filter to maintain more accurate color and simplify post-production.
Match the filter to the light
ND64 is not a universal filter for every scene. Check the histogram and exposure before recording: a filter that is too strong at dusk will make footage unnecessarily dark, while the right daylight conditions produce smoother motion.
Install it clean and dry
Clean the X5 lenses and the inside surfaces of the filter before installation. Dust, fingerprints and water droplets on 360° optics can be visible in the shot and complicate stitching.
