An open design is especially useful when traffic, training partners or announcements still need to be heard, but it never replaces attention and safe judgement. Choose a volume that preserves enough awareness for the environment you are in. In very loud surroundings, open-ear headphones will not isolate as strongly as a model that seals the ear canal; that is a deliberate trade-off in favour of comfort and a more natural connection to the world around you.

Take a moment to find the correct position during the first uses: the sound outlet should sit where the design intends and the band or clip should feel secure without excessive pressure. Use the Shokz app to check firmware, adjust EQ and customise controls where supported. Dry the headphones after rain or a demanding workout. An IP rating does not mean unlimited exposure to water, and no wet product should be charged.
