Why choose this product
8K50fps 360° video
Dual custom Sony 1/1.1-inch square sensors work with a 4nm AI chip and two imaging chips to capture detailed 360° video up to 8K50fps.
5K60fps ultra-wide mode
Single-lens mode turns X6 into a wide action camera with up to 5K60fps, a 170° field of view at 5K30fps or 4K120fps slow motion.
120MP photos and 10-bit color
120MP 360° photos preserve detail in every direction, while 10-bit I-Log and in-camera Dolby Vision expand color and post-production options.
140 minutes of 8K recording
The 2600mAh Xtreme Battery runs for up to 140 minutes at 8K30fps in Insta360's test; a compatible 30W PPS charger reaches 80% in about 24 minutes.
OLED screen and replaceable lenses
The 2.32-inch OLED display reaches 1200 nits peak brightness for clearer menus and previews in sunlight. Replaceable Lenses 2.0 lets a damaged outer lens be replaced without replacing the whole camera.
47GB of usable built-in storage
X6 has 64GB of built-in storage with about 47GB available to the user, plus a UHS-I V30 microSD slot. The IP68 body is waterproof to 20m without a case.
Frequently asked questions
Does X6 require a microSD card?
No. About 47GB of built-in storage is available. For longer 8K recording, Insta360 recommends a UHS-I V30 or faster microSD card; 256GB or more is recommended for frequent high-spec shooting.
How deep can X6 be used underwater?
The camera is IP68 waterproof to 20m without a case. Insta360 specifies the Invisible Dive Case Pro for correctly stitched 360° footage and depths to 60m.
Do X5 accessories fit X6?
Many 1/4-inch and magnetic Quick Release accessories are compatible, but differences in body shape, battery and optics mean the X5 Carry Case, Dive Case, Utility Frame and Fast Charge Case do not fit X6.
How long does the battery last?
In Insta360's laboratory test, the Xtreme Battery ran for up to 140 minutes at 8K30fps. Actual runtime depends on resolution, temperature, wireless connections and screen use.
Can the lenses be replaced by the user?
Yes. X6 uses Replaceable Lenses 2.0. Use the official X6 replacement kit and follow Insta360's instructions carefully to preserve correct assembly and sealing.
